Hi there.

I just wanted to stop in and say I'm still here creating at what seems to be a snail's pace. Do you ever have so many ideas that they all get kind of jumbled and individual ideas can't break free? Well, I've been experiencing that lately and it's been mixed in with the whole cross country move thing which is beginning to demand more of my brain power.  But yesterday it was gorgeous out and so I rolled up the door of my garage/studio and got to work on the painting pictured above.  I was visited by at least half a dozen bees who were seriously interested in what I was doing with their wax.  I took their visit as a sign that Spring is here to stay and realized that they too are gypsies traveling as needed, seeking beauty and sweetness and creating constantly.  I took their advice and added more daisies for my figure to rest on and must say those little guys were right....it's just what she needed.  I'm going to finish up this piece today and hopefully prep a few smaller paintings as well. Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I love how you wrote, it was beautiful to read, sweet complimenting words of your poetic art work. It does feel like Spring these days, and here in Southern California, it actually felt more like Summer, I'm not ready for it yet. I need Spring to come first.

I love the gray and the red and the sweet white daises... perfect. I know what you mean about the jumble of ideas, my brain is the same at the moment. Must be something in the changing of the season.

How cute that the bees come to see what you are doing with their wax.

Yes, I feel like that so much lately, spinning in circles, not focused. Perhaps it is the spring fever that would have come if it hadn't suddenly become so beautiful outside.
Love the painting you are working on and your description of the bees...

I think I understand how you feel. It might be the change of Season's. Seeking balance.

Really like the painting you are working on, can't wait to see it finished.

just be careful my dear....I left my back door open, and an entire swarm of bees came rushing to my wax! (I must have had some good stuff....)
....maybe I should have had some daisies waiting their arrival?

lovely post :)

This post reads like a really beautiful story. Have you heard that bees are in danger of extinction? I hear a lot of talk about it since a year or so. It's because some kind of virus or bacteria that's going around among them. And when bees stop to exist the human race will soon seize to exist as well. just think about it; bees look after all of our (healty)food production. They are the ones that take care of fertalising the blossoms of plants and trees, so they can carry fruits and vegetables. Without them nothing can grow anymore. Isn't this a scary thought? These little tiny beautiful insects should have a huge status of importancy in our consiousness don't you think? So i am happy to read you have had an encounter with them. It's like proof that they are still out there.

ps the painting is gorgeous, i love the color pallet!

This is looking so nice... I can totally relate to getting all those ideas in order somehow!

How funny the bees were around, I wonder if they smell the wax when it's warm?

Bon nuit!
