On the Ball

These little ladies are all on top of things but it's a delicate balance.  Each one places a foot precariously forward, then back and then forward again...laughing all the while.

these are delightful!
thanks for the post on my site earlier. I remember 12 to be such a wonderful age and you're right, the years fly by way to quickly.

These are great! They would look so nice on my wall as a triptych! :) The images make me think of politics with election day on the horizon. I noticed some of the text on the clothing and ball... was it randomly cut or did you choose the words?

Hi beth, you made some really sweet and beautiful new paintings. I really love this road you are taking with the gentile and soft colours. And in these 3 paintings the little girls, they are so cute.

hi there...the newsprint in the girls dresses are from two different articles .one was about the environmental impact of climate change on weather (1&3) and the other about farm to table programs at grade schools (2). i try to keep snippets of articles that discuss the challenges we face globally and what people are doing to address them locally. but i also clip fun stuff like the elderly circus arts write up...it drives my husband crazy because the paper always has bits and pieces missing!

Love the soft color and simplicity of these three pieces!

That is so what life is like, taking one step in front of the other, while balancing and then sometimes going backwards for a step and then forwards again... Laughing all the while, that is an important thing to remember.

they are just delightful.
