This morning I turned my attention to familiar shapes, bold patterns and juicy colors. Somehow it just feels right on this sun drenched Friday morning. My oldest is heading off to a three week creative writing program in New England this Sunday and I'm feeling both excited and emotional. Maybe the familiar shapes are for her ? Maybe the boldness and brightness too? I'm trying to give her the space to get ready to go and the strength and support she'll need to be gone.
It's a tricky business...this letting go thing.

Aren't you both brave?! Best wishes to Phoebe on her wing-spreading journey. xoxo
I can only imagine how this must be a scary feeling, even if for me it still feels like a million miles away, that moment where they fly off to go look for places where they might belong...I am thinking of you and wish you lot's of strength...
You are brave... I can't imagine the day that comes. Plus I'm neurotic! But, she will have a wonderful time, and I'm sending you good energy and faith along the way.
Love the house paintings!
