I love the painting Beth and I look forward to your posts. I am an artist working in encaustic in Portland, OR and it is fun to find other like-minded artists who are balancing their family life with their art life. I usually dream about my family or myself in social situations and people from my past usually show up randomly.

Love the question and therefore I want to answer it. I dream a lot of people I never met before but who are very familiar to me and they help me.

Hope this will give you ....

Love the house! My house is often part of my dreams -- with an extra room or two tacked on. I love those dreams (unless I'm dreaming about cleaning those extra rooms). It is my fantasy to have an entire room dedicated to shipping and receiving, especially during fall mail-order-clothing season.

Hi Beth! This is Piper- Jill's sister... do you remember me? I found your blog a while back (can't remember how) and I've been keeping up with your blog. I love your work. I am living in Seattle with my husband and son (2 1/2 years old). Life is good. I dream about swimming in the Indian Ocean again...and having carefree, lazy days in the tropics.

I misread the entry (reading too quickly...sorry!). While I do dream about being back in the tropics (meaning, what I long for some days), I dream about people that I briefly thought about recently (a reference that made me remember someone, etc.)...they always have a way of showing up in my dreams a couple of days later.

I usually have flying dreams or dreams where I cannot remember my locker combination but last night I dreamed I was nearly naked and had a hot bod. Weird because I am 65 yrs. old and those days are definitely behind me - lol.

wow it's amazing how varied and telling all of these dreams are. and piper of course i remember you-after all theo (and sage) would have been named piper if either had been a girl....

I really love this...

Last night I dreamed about three goats on my roof (goats hooves make a lot of noise on a roof)... tonight I am hoping to dream them down again.

oh resolving a dream...that's very interesting katherine. i've tried to get back to sleep to continue a dream but not on different nights!

Wonderful post, wonderful piece of art! My dreams are no fun. I work on problems in my dreams, have premonitions in my dreams and often times have nightmares. Anyone wanna trade? The rare mixed up nonsense dream is a blessing to me.

Oh I love this piece! I dream about everything. Just the other night I dreamt that I wrote an AMAZING song. Upon waking the melody and most of it was gone though. I do remember just two of the lines which were, "Buried the bone in the garden. Will anybody come, will anybody come?" I remember it was a song about how you should enjoy today and not tuck things away for special days.

i dream so many things every night ~ half the reason i wake up tired! usually it's a skewed version of things that might happen in real life and often my mum appears.
fun giveaway, and i love the painting :)

i love how you pieced your dreams into building blocks. i am going to do this from now on as my dreams are ALWAYS jumbled all up from beach to mountain top from tricycle to jumbo jet plane, people i knew when i was three and wonderful folks i have never even met before...always on an adventure!
i hope you know by now, how much i love and appreciate your work.

Beautiful painting! I love your work.

I have dreams about being back in college and not being able to find out what or where my classes are. Used to have wonderful dreams about flying too.

Hi Beth,
Love the man on the ladder... very nice!

What do I dream about? Crazy stuff from my past woven into the here and now. I'm falling a lot in my dreams, and when I land - people are talking to me as if nothing has happened! (funnily, I'm usually just fine - albiet laying on the ground)

Maybe I should borrow your ladder vehicle and draw about my falling dreams? Now you've given me something to chew on :)

I love the painting.

My dreams are full of intrigue and action. They're quite exhausting sometimes, but usually enjoyable.
