Stella and Watson
Hello, hello. This is the bookend to the 'same but different' thing I had in mind this week. Watson (back) is the one year old Lakeland Terrier we brought home from a rescue organization 5 months ago. Watson has come such a long way in such a short time he is a little clown when he feels safe and secure and and he has a super sweet and gentle nature. Before coming home with us Watson had spent most of his life in a crate and had only lived in the company of other dogs. I asked the person we got him from to keep her eye out for a good companion dog because I saw the way he lit up in the company of other dogs and as much as we loved him I really felt like he needed a buddy. And so Monday evening we brought Stella home. She is a tiny three year old Lakeland Terrier also rescued from a Missouri dog auction. She is very sweet, social and confident and she and is the perfect companion for Watson. We still have a bit of work to do on potty training as she spent lots of time in a crate too but honestly we couldn't ask for two more endearing pets. So, I know I haven't been here much lately but the house being for sale, the holiday, the 2nd dog and a million other little things have kept my head swimming. But somehow bringing Stella home makes things feel pulled together, in the moment, complete. Happy Weekend : )
