Nailed it! I often ask, "Does it have to be one or the other? Can't the answer be both? Must I choose?" When Koji was little, he had this chant, "Yes. No. Maybe so!" :)

i love maybe beth.
it always seems to mean "yes" to my children when i utter it, but maybe is a comfortable place for me to linger.

Oh, I'm swooning! How great that you called this Where Possibility Lives. Isn't that the truth!? Somewhere between yes and no there is that spark of maybe...the parting of the clouds...the tiny bit of light shed through a door cracked open. I think she'll choose YES, but it might take a while.
