May Day or MAYDAY???

Well it's May Day (which also happens to be my birthday) and I feel more like shouting MAYDAY!!!!  I have a crummy cold, it's still in the 50's and rainy here and the sale of the house fell thru....it's a lot for one week.  The bright spot in the day was ice cream for breakfast (birthday tradition) and this amazing panini press the kids gave me (the possibilities are endless for yummy creations with this machine!).  We are headed to my parents for the weekend (panini maker in tow) for my Niece's First Communion.  I'll be back next week with new work, panini inspiration and some thought on Spring.....

Happy Birthday Beth!! In spite of all the static going on... I hope you find a silver lining today. So sorry to hear about the house deal - but it's getting to be real estate season (so to speak) so I'll bet you get more nibbles.
Sending some sunshine your way!

oh happy birthday! (fiddlesticks about the house!)....and if you are anything like us, the panini maker will go from being put back into the cupboard to just staying put on the counter because you use it so much...it's panini season over at this house :)

tara and brenda-thank you both...
Sammi-fiddlesticks males me think of fiddlestix pinot noir from the Santa Rita hills in central California...that would be truly yummy with panini!

Happy Birthday Beth!!
That totally stinks about everything else. Everything will work out in the end.

I hope you had a lovely birthday, and I'm sure everything will work out in the end.

Happy belated Birthday. It's a shame that you had to deal with disappointment and not feeling well on your special day. I hope that things pick up soon.
