a scanner, a sale and a sigh...

Round Barn At Dusk
Lucky Farm

THE SCANNER:
Who knew choosing a new scanner would require two trips to three different stores?  I wanted to replace the one that broke with the same model but the new version was in a very harsh looking black and white which just was not working for me (i know the aesthetics of the electronic gadgetry i am surrounded by shouldn't really matter...but it does).  So I finally got the new(all white) scanner up and running on Sunday.  I'm really happy with the two barn paintings and liked painting the night sky (I'm definitely more of the blue/grey foggy type but it's good to change things up once in a while).  Round Barns are amazing works of art an ingenuity (I would love to live in this one right next to the pond).  Lucky Farm is a magical place where diversity, beauty and luck keep the family business thriving (selling fresh flowers at the local farmer's market is a secret dream job of mine!)
THE SALE:
The house is sold!  Well I hate to jinx anything but numbers have been negotiated, papers have been signed and the inspection is tomorrow.  From what I have gathered (via realtor to realtor communication) the couple who is purchasing the house really loves it that is just what I wanted for this old beauty.
THE SIGH:
A big one of relief, sadness and excitement all rolled into one.

Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you until the very end, Beth. Great news, though!
Love round barns.
Love your paintings.
I guess what you are in the midst of, is what they made the word bittersweet for.
Take care and enjoy spring in the place you call home, for now. tt

Oh, so this is what you have been up to lately, scanner hunting! About the sale, that sounds wonderfully sad Beth. I am happy for you. These times certainly don't give any certainties to be able to sel your house, so i guess it's a REALLY good thing it has happened so quickly. When will you move then? O, yeah, firts you should find a new house, i forgot:D

The paintings are WONDERFULL!

Congratulations on the sale Beth that I would imagine once that happens that makes things a little less stressful and to know the next family will love your home too, that is such a good thing. I love these barn paintings, there is such a peaceful, warm and familiar feeling looking at them. Driving around through the country looking at barns is a big de-stresser for me. Barns are such a big part of our landscapes, I would think these paintings connect with a so many people. :)

Hi! Just found your blog and had to comment, since I'm also married to a charming Chuck and live a few miles inland from Lake Michigan (in Wisconsin). You barn paintings are adorable!

Good luck with all your real estate transactions! I'll be visiting your blog again.

Hi! I really love the barns too - did you know that we trimmed the two shrubs in front of ours into big hearts? It's so much better than big blocks of shrub! I like the name of your family farm. Would you sell zinnias?

I'm relieved along with you about the sale. Congratulations! It's comforting to know that the new owners will appreciate the energy you've invested there.

Oh, this rollercoaster! xoxo

love the top painting best, the sky is a beautiful colour, esp with the pale blue underneath.
re scanner - completely understand - you have to bond with your equipment and if you are visual and they are ugly it just doesn't work!!
congrats on the house. it must be hard being in between, am sighing for you too :)
