Spring is in full swing...

Everyone is back to school this morning after 11 days off from school.  We stayed in town, spent time talking about how much we all loved and missed Porter, did  lots of yard work and gardening and ventured into the city for a few special adventures.  It was just what we all needed, and now on this beautiful Monday morning, it is time to get back to work.  I'm heading into the studio to finish up a painting, picking up plants from the Ecology Center for the school garden (which i will help the 3rd graders plant later this week) and thrifting for costume pieces for a local production of The Curious Savage (all 3 of my kiddos are in the play).   What's keeping you busy on this gorgeous Spring day?

Pretty colors! We're heading to your Big City for some family fun... baseball, college visits (!), bit of shopping, museum, and this Blue Man Group that seems to have taken residence there. :)
Happy studio time, Friend!

11 days seems like a very long time... we had the same. I'm almost in 'summer mode' now. The school garden sounds so cool, we don't have one.

I'm so very sorry about Porter. That is such a hard thing to bear... oddly, one of my friends who has 3 kids had to put her 10 yr old retriver down the same day Porter went. It was so hard to see her so upset.

Today is our first day back and after yoga... I'm doing more spring cleaning. Then, on to more art making! Have fun in the studio :)

I planted some fresh new pansies in the window boxes, trimmed back some hydrangeas in my kimono, and went shopping for a new lawnmower with hubby.
