Lots of tiny goodness-

These seven little paintings are making their way through the wintry weather to Nahcotta Gallery for the 15th Enormous Tiny Art Show.  I am so happy to be a part of this show of miniscule brilliance which puts in real art in the hands of real people.  The on line shop should be pretty well updated by this  Friday and the show officially opens next Friday February 7th.  Take a minute to check out the site  and support small art.

all(most) finished-

Her Dreams Broke Into A Hundred Pieces And Filled The Night Sky

This is one of seven small paintings I have been working on for ETA 15. I'm really loving all seven and will share a sneak peek before I wrap them up and send them off next week. But right now (this very minute, in fact) I need to pack up the car so we can pick up the kiddos and head to Chicago for an appointment and a visit.  Happy weekend to you!

Wish them well...

The woods called to them in a hundred voices
12"x12"

These two adventurers have been waiting patiently for their journey to begin.  There was some question as to whether they had reached their destination or were about to embark upon an new adventure.  Maybe it was the arrival of a new year or the grey clouds I placed into their sky last week, but yesterday it became very clear to me that these two were heading into the forest to find their way to some larger truth.  They are suited up, wicked smart and their hearts are wide open to what the woods will teach them.

New Work-

Sometimes it's hard to see what's in front of you even when you look really hard.  Maybe letting the lines blur a bit is a better way to see clearly.

Let's get this party started...

All Kinds of Luck No.1
2.25" x 2.5"

All Kinds of Luck No.2
2" x 3"

The new year has not started off on it's best foot but I'm not one to hold a grudge.  I'm not sure what she has up her sleeve but I am filled with a seemingly unfounded optimism for 2014. For now, staying home and staying warm is the thing.  It's -8 outside (and something ridiculous like -35 with the wind chill).  I bundled up to walk to the mailbox but other than that sticking close to either a skillet full of hot wax or the  fireplace and getting ready to enjoy day 2 of the kids extended winter break.  More new work to share later in the week : )
